15. Consultation with City Attorney Neale Potts as authorized by the Texas Government Code Section
551.071.
The City Council reserves the right to discuss any of the above items in Executive Closed Session if the item meets
the qualifications in Sections 551.071, 551.072, 551.073, 551.074, 551.076, 551.087, of Chapter 551 of the
Government Code of the State of Texas Executive Session, to consult with the City Attorney on matters authorized
by law, pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Open Meetings Act.

I certify that a copy of the July 9, 2019, agenda of items to be considered by the Morgan’s Point Resort City Council
was posted and could be seen on the City Hall Bulletin board on the 4th day of July 2019, at 5:00 p.m. and remained
posted continuously for at least 72 hours proceeding the scheduled time of the meeting. I further certify that the

CALL TO ORDER, INVOCATION, AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Review and consideration of minutes from the June 11, 2019, regular meeting.
The attached, draft Minutes are presented for Mayor and City Council review. The Mayor or Council may
ask to amend, add, or delete items. A MOTION is appropriate after any changes are made to the draft
Minutes.
2. Review and consideration of minutes from the June 25, 2019, special workshop.
The attached, draft Minutes are presented for Mayor and City Council review. The Mayor or Council may
ask to amend, add, or delete items. A MOTION is appropriate after any changes are made to the draft
Minutes.
PUBLIC HEARING
3. None scheduled.
A Public Hearing is not a forum for discussion between elected officials and the persons addressing the Council. It is intended only to allow
the citizen(s) the opportunity to express their feelings and make those opinions part of the official record. It would be appropriate to open
the Public Hearing to allow interested parties the opportunity to voice their opinions of the project. NO action is required on these Agenda
items.
RESOLUTIONS AND ACTION ITEMS
4. Discuss and consider Resolution 2019-16: Zoning Commission reappointment. Mr. Ken Hobbs has shown
interest in being reappointment to the Zoning Commission. A MOTION is necessary to take action on
Resolution 2019-16: Zoning Commission reappointment.
5. Discuss and consider Resolution 2019-17: Donation of expired surplus supplies and equipment. The Fire
Department is in possession of “Consumable” supplies and equipment that bear a specified service life and/
or expiration dates. A MOTION is necessary to take action on Resolution 2019-17: Donation of expired
surplus supplies and equipment.
DISCUSSION
6. Discuss the EDC’s plan to apply for the Safe Routes to School Grant. If awarded, the grant would pay
100% of the cost associated with putting in sidewalks along Morgan’s Point Road and FM 2483 to the
schools, if the schools are within two (2) miles of the proposed improvement. A MOTION is not
necessary for discussion.
7. Discuss and consider setting a public hearing to amend Section 14 and 10, Zoning Ordinance. A
MOTION is not necessary for discussion.
8. Discuss and consider setting dates for Budget workshops.

Ordinance 2019-06.

dollars ($25) to Fifty dollars ($50) per inspection. A MOTION is necessary to take action on Ordinance
2019-07.
