FIRE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION January 18, 2018 6:00 pm Public Safety Building Training Room PRESENT: President Shane Mardis, Commissioner Noel Hoffman, and Michael Jacks, Linda Tucker, Secretary FCSC, Heather Carl, Secretary, Chief Caravasos, Captain David Dzirnak, Bryan Davis, Bailey McClain, Thadius Dalton, Jayson Nicewarner, John Lemley, Jimmy Lipscomb, Sean Whiten, and John Moore. President Mardis called the meeting to order. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion by Hoffman, second by Jacks, to approve the September 6, 2017 and December 20, 2017 meeting minutes. New Business: 1. 2018 Entry Level Test Date After discussion, motion by Hoffman, second by Jacks to set the date for the Entry Level Testing for Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 6:00 pm. The application process will start on January 22, 2018 and will end on April 11, 2018. 2. Agility Test schedule After discussion, motion by Hoffman, second by Jacks to set the Agility Test for Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 8:00 am. An Open House Agility was also scheduled on Saturday, March 10, 2018 and Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. After discussion, it was determined that the previous applicants that had taken the agility test and passed, will have to retake with all other applicants. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Hoffman, second by Jacks to schedule the next meeting for March 8th, 2018 at 6:00 pm. There being no further business, motion by Hoffman, second by Jacks to adjourned.
