Minutes HEALTH & WELLNESS COMMISSION Online- via Zoom July 16, 2020 7:00 pm PRESENT: Absent: The meeting was called to order at 7:03pm. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: N/A PUBLIC PORTION: A. Covid-19 Response a. Discussion of the links that Kim had sent the Commission for mask wearing and CDC COVID resources prior to the meeting b. Discussion to highlight and promote businesses that are following masks mandate and CDC guidelines c. Social Media use to promote COVID guidelines i. Partner with a local business to share that they are following the guidelines and partnering with them to build social media presence ii. Week 1- Show off your favorite mask 1. Kids in age categories (0-6, 7-12, 13-18, 19-35, 36-60, 61+) with free shakes from Get Fit Juices and Shakes as donated from Ray Glumph (Danielle offered to donate cookies as well) iii. Week 2- Fun with social distancing (Social *Fitnessing*) iv. Week 4- Possible topic- “Raising the Bar” (creative outdoor venues or alternatives to indoor bars) v. Poster contest for the commission to distribute to local businesses as a partnership. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: A. Ray and Hannah will be posting the social media content B. Kim is working on write-up’s for the Dominion Post. C. Any donations that committee members can get will help our campaign. NEW BUSINESS: OLD BUSINESS: ACTION ITEMS: A. Next meeting on August 6, 2020 at 7:00pm. Possible outdoor/in-person meeting at a BOPARC pavilion. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, meeting adjourned by unanimous consent.
