Morgantown Tree Board (MTB)
Minutes, meeting of August 17, 2020
White Park Hite St. picnic shelter, 4:31 PM
1. ATTENDANCE: MTB members Dan Brown, Secretary Jon Weems, Chair Dave
Barnett, and contract arborist David Mitchell.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Without a quorum, no motions were made.
3. REPORT FROM M. MAUPIN/S. CLINE: With S. Cline on leave and M. Maupin ill,
there was no report.
4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
A. City Tree Ordinance. D. Brown, J. Weems, and D. Barnett went through the draft
revised city tree ordinance page by page and agreed it was ready for submission to City
Council.
B. White Park. Planting of replacement trees in the area cleared for the 30-inch
pipeline was discussed, followed by more discussion during a site visit.
C. Ice Rink Plan. The plan was considered during the site visit referenced above.
6. NEW BUSINESS: None.
7. OPEN DISCUSSION: Nothing unrelated to matters listed above.
8. NEXT MEETING: September 28, 2020.
9. ADJOURN: The meeting ended at about 6:45 without formal adjournment.
