WARD & BOUNDARY COMMISSION MEETING Tuesday - September 27, 2016 City Hall – Council Chambers 1:20 p.m. PRESENT: Chairman Alan Donaldson (Absent), Commission members: Don West, William Ryan, Co-Chair Guy Panrell, Roger Banks, Clerk Linda Tucker, Heather Carl, Secretary and City Engineer Damien Davis. Cindy O’Brien, (Absent) The meeting was called to order by Co-Chairman Panrell at 1:20 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion by Commissioner Ryan, second by Commissioner Banks to approve the minutes from January 27, 2016 meeting. Motion carried by acclamation. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: A. Review voter registration data. Damien Davis, City Engineer explained the Ward and Boundary Report (Exhibit A) and stated that he felt that the City Manager and City Clerk should meet with County Clerk about the data and registered voters that need purged at WVU Housing Facilities. Mr. Davis showed a map (Exhibit B) to the members of areas of how many years (0-20) voters had registered. After discussion, motion by Ryan second by Banks that Panrell and Banks meet with County Clerk about the data and scheduling a meeting with the City Clerk and City Manager to discuss the Voter Registration dilemma. Commission Banks offered a friendly amendment that the Commission send a letter to the County Clerk, asking her to meet with the City Clerk and City Manager. Second by Ryan. Motion carried by acclamation. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, meeting adjourned by unanimous consent.
