WARD & BOUNDARY COMMISSION MEETING Thursday, June 25, 2020 Via Webex 10:00 a.m. To protect public health during COVID – 19 pandemic, personal attendance at the meeting will not be permitted. PRESENT: Via Webex Deputy Clerk Heather Carl, GIS Analyst Marvin Davis, Mayor William A. Kawecki, Chairman Sarah Barnes, Commission Members Cindy O’Brien, Moira Reilly (by telephone), Roy Nutter, Alice Meehan. 5th Ward is open and Don Spencer (by telephone). City Clerk Christine Wade was absent. The meeting was called to order by Chair Sarah Barnes at 2:03 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion by Roy Nutter, second by Sarah Barnes, to approve the June 19, 2020, meeting minutes as printed by consensus. NEW BUSINESS: None PUBLIC PORTION: Sarah Barnes declared the Public Portion open. There being no appearances, Sarah declared the Public Portion closed. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: A. Project Update: Ward and Boundary Data, Redistricting GIS Analyst Marvin Davis sent out some information regarding the map of the Ward Boundaries that he had been working on. The Ward Analyst Comparison Viewer was presented to the Commission. See the map Exhibit A attached that shows the Wards by Neighborhood and the map Exhibit B shows the Wards generated by the Tool. Both maps are generated by population. After a discussion, the commission agreed that Marvin is doing a very good job. Marvin will have the Registered Voter Data at the next scheduled meeting, not sure if he will be using the existing data or the new data from the County Clerk. MISCELLANEOUS: A. Next scheduled meeting, time, date, and location The next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. via Webex.
