Woodburn Commission

Woodburn School Redevelopment Commission Minutes of Thursday May 24, 2018 Members present: Chris Haddox, Marti Shamberger, Ron Delaney, Bob Merrow, Carol Wilson, Kate Levine-Freeman, Evan Fedorko. The meeting was called to order by Chris Haddox at 6:00 p.m. at Woodburn Schools Members introduced themselves. Minutes were reviewed and accepted with the correction was made to the spelling of Denny Poluga’s name. There were no visitor’s present. The discussion about the branding of the site was held. Evan agreed to forward the information from the”Little Fish” group who had previously made a presentation to the Commission last fall to members. Council Delaney gave an update on the paving at the Woodburn site which will begin in June and that the replacement of the toilets/urinals in the building had been completed. More discussion was held concerning the water intrusion on the north and west wall of the building. Discussion was held about writing a letter to the City manager and “cc’ing Council and the City grant writer prioritizing items from the June 30, 2017 Mills Report. Kate will take the lead on the letter to be reviewed by Carol and Marti. Evan said he would take the lead on drafting an annual report. Chris would send out previous annual report. Bob and Ron would meet with area construction owners to get an idea of cost of replacement and upgrades to the building. A “Friends of Woodburn Group” was delayed until the future. The next meeting will be via email with updates prior to June 28. The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
