Woodburn Commission

Woodburn School Redevelopment Commission Minutes of Wednesday November 15, 2018 Members present: Chris Haddox, Marti Shamberger, and Evan Fedorko. The meeting was called to order by Chair Chris Haddox at 6:00 p.m. at Woodburn School. The minutes were corrected but not approved due to lack of a quorum. Guests: John and Danielle Trumble. Updates from Friends of Decker’s Creek (Chris) and the Pop Shop (Kate) will be given at the next meeting. Discussion was held about the WRC mission statement. Branding of the site was also discussed. Facebook would be used to gather suggestions. Installation of signage around the property for public awareness was also discussed; directing the public from Richwood and Charles to the playground, picnic tables, parking etc. Marti agreed to check with the City if funding would be available for signage. A Spring Clean-up was discussed culminating with an open house with a suggested date of April 27. Commission members were asked to contact tenants for their input. John Tremble expressed interest in assisting with a Webpage. Danielle Tremble said an EIN number was received for the Friends of Woodburn group. A charter and bylaws need to be written and submitted. Chris Haddox distributed a sample of bylaws to the groups. The next meeting will be December 20 @ 6 at Woodburn School. The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
