MOSES LAKE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD
A regular meeting of the Moses Lake Airport Advisory Board was held at the Airport Operations
Building, Friday, noon, December 13, 2019. The meeting was called to order by Richard Pearce.

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT/ABSENT/EXCUSED: Present: Richard Pearce, Tim Prickett, Tom Dent, Finley
Grant and Darrin Jackson.
OTHERS PRESENT: Council Member Daryl Jackson, Council Member Dean Hankins, Darel Fuller, Ron
Piercy, Delone Krueger, Mike Moro, Public Works Superintendent, and Tracey Law, Public Works Clerk.
MINUTES: A motion was made by Darrin to accept the minutes from November 8, 2019. The motion was
seconded by Tim and unanimously approved.
AIRPORT INSPECTION: The November inspection was done by Darrin. The January inspection will be
done by Darrin.
OLD BUSINESS:
A. LEASES: Council Member Daryl Jackson gave an update on the new leases. He thanked Richard
Pearce for his help on the committee and Tom Dent for supplying a lease from another airport. The new
leases will be reviewed by City Council on December 19,2019. He encouraged the Board members to
attend. Daryl would like to see the new lease go to Council on the first meeting in January. Discussion of
the new leased included:
1. Terms of leases
2. Comprehensive liability insurance
3. Determination of commercial operations
4. Automobile insurance
5. Building insurance
6. Compensation if Airport is closed whether by the City or if the City sellsto a third party.
B. FUEL STATION: Darrin had no new information.
C. OPS BUILDING HEATAND ROOF: Mike Moro will contact the City's Building Maintenance
Supervisor on what can be done with the roof. Tim will get information on a product he's usedto Mike.
D. FILL IN SOUTHWEST CORNER: Mike Moro thought the contractor had leveled the area out again.
E. REFLECTORS: Richard bought 10 new reflectors, however, they are not assembled. He will assemble
several for replacement of recently damaged ones.
F. ADDITIONAL TIE DOWNS: Richard thought they needed to find the tie downs and put orange tape
on them. Darrin said he had some old tires he could put around them.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. COURTESY CAR: Richard is going to ask Fred if the City has a surplus car. There was discussion on
how the car would be insured. Darrin is going to talk to some hotel owners about having a car owned by
one of them placed at the airport.
B. CARB LOAN: Richard felt a CARB (Community Aviation Revitalization Board) loan could be used for
a fuel station at the Airport. The Board needs to get more information on cost of project but Tom said
they need to have the Airport added to the CARB loan list. Darrin made a motion to ask the State to put
our name in for a CARB loan. It was seconded by Tim and passed unanimously. Tom will get the Airport
added to the list.
C. VOLUNTEER TIME: Volunteer timesheets were turned in by Tim, Finley, Darrin, and Richard.
E. OTHER: None
Finley made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded by Richard and passed
unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 12:57 p.m.
