Airy Minutes of Meeting Aug 28 2019 Call to Order: 7:10pm Roll Call: Mike VanSant, Jimmy Linton, Shaun Gratton, Pamela Reed, Elmer Bailey, Chair Donnamarie Needle Absent: Ray Miller Minutes reviewed and approved Staff Report: Melissa Thorn reporting: Façade improvements grant, one application under review process Chamber of Commerce Resourceful Entrepreneur Fall series scheduled Joint exchange commission reported on, Farmers Market season winding down Art on the Trails event, Lions Yard Sale, Oktoberfest, Spooky Trail events Council Report: Pamela Reed reporting: Request for Vision plan funding, Request of redirection of park ave and center Additional sidewalk installation on park, Review request to downgrade APFO Open Space requirements MDX-CC installations. Meeting with CC SBDC for informational Educational resources, No Chamber report. Old Business: Research obtained as to ownership of stairwell to discuss responsibility for additional lighting, will be brought to council Additional meeting with main street property owners regarding renewed interest In bringing Gas line to main street Meeting with property owners to create list for promoting ground floor retail/ Restaurant usage of those properties. New Business: Town Survey options discussed,,swot vs list of multiple choice options Community Map upgrade discussed Grant discussion brought back
