Town Council Minutes and Closed Minutes (see below) –

Allowed by: GENERAL PROVISIONS ARTICLE 3-305(b)(3) to consider the acquisition of real
property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto. TOPICS that were discussed:
a) Former train station property for possible police station/museum.
b) 1 Park Ave. Property
c) Looking into possible acquisition of Shops of Yesteryear property.
d) Town and CSX appraisal for corridor for Rails to Trails.
e) Discussion of Harrison Leishear property off of Rt. 27 in Mount Airy.
f) Lease Option for temporary police space –Back Acre Circle– (Mike Dixon’s building).
Nothing was discussed regarding salaries, as noted on closed meeting notice.

thereto. TOPICS: (1) Town View Subdivision – Rails to Trails; and 2) Town & CSX appraisal for
corridor for Rails to Trails (3) Possible locations for temporary police housing and or Town museum as
discussed last month under closed session – Shops of Yesteryear; Back Acre Circle – Mike Dixon’s
building; the old train station on Main Street; 1 Park Ave. property; FMH (older) building and 209 Center
Street.
