Minutes
NJ Department of Health and the NJ Department of Education with their requests and concerns.
Councilman Galate wished to thank and honor Liz Cangiano from the Board of Education who had
recently stepped down, leaving a vacancy on the Board of Education. Councilwoman Galate
encouraged anyone interested to view the position requirements on the Board of Education's
website. The schools were doing a great job throughout the entire COVID-19 pandemic.
Councilwoman Fostle
Councilwoman Fostle had nothing to report.
Councilman Loughr(dge
Councilman Loughridge reported Recreation was currently slow due to the snow. The next
scheduled event was the Memorial Day Parade.
Councilman Cangiano
Councilman Cangiano congratulated Patrolman Gregory Shallop on his retirement after 30 years.
He had nothing but great experiences whenever dealing with Mr. Shallop. He was a great person
and Police Officer. Regarding his wife, Liz Cangiano's retirement from the Board of Education,
she felt it was time to move on and pass the torch to someone else. Regarding Water & Sewer,
there were two Ordinances on the agenda, 05-2021 and 06-2021. The Water & Sewer Committee
had thoroughly reviewed these Ordinances and recommended their approval.
Council President Delaney
Council President Delaney acknowledged many parents were eager to get their kids back in school.
Teachers needed to be acknowledged for doing such an amazing job throughout the entire
pandemic to do everything they could to educate the children and help create a safe environment
for the kids to hopefully return to soon.

There was no one present from the public.
Ordinance - Introduction
04-2021 An Ordinance of the Borough of Mount Arlington, in the County of Morris,
State of New Jersey Appropriating $105,000 from the Capital Improvement
Fund for the Acquisition of In-Vehicle and Body Cameras for the Police
Department
The Mayor opened the Hearing to the Public and read Ordinance 04-2021 by Title.
There was no public comment.
The Mayor closed the Hearing to the Public.
Motion: Councilman Cangiano stated: "I make the motion that Ordinance 04-2021 be
introduced, and will be further considered after a public hearing held on April 6, 2021 at the
Municipal Building at 7:00PM."
