In accordance with Governor McMaster’s Executive Order 2020-50,
Council Chambers will be limited to 50% occupancy. In anticipation
of a large number of citizens wanting to attend this meeting and
speak, the Town is making arrangements for additional locations to
view the meeting within Town Hall. A plan has been developed for all
those wanting to speak at the meeting to be able to do so. Public
comments will be limited to two minutes per person. Additional

1. Final Reading: An Ordinance providing for the annexation of
an approximately 0.34 acre tract of land located at 516
Coaxum Road and depicted as Lot C on a Plat recorded by the
Charleston County ROD Office in Plat Book W94, Page 236.

2. Final Reading: An Ordinance to rezone from AB, Areawide
Business District, to R-3, Medium Density Residential District,
an approximately 0.04 acre tract of land comprised of two
parcels located at 986 and 988 Key Colony Court in Sullivan’s
Pointe. Included is a request to reinstate the Overlay District
in effect at the time of permit issuance. (Ord. No. 20048)
3. Final Reading: An Ordinance granting an easement to
Dominion Energy on property owned by the Town of Mount
Pleasant located on Six Mile Road. (Ord No. 20051)
4. Final Reading: An Ordinance to amend Section 92.01 of the
Mount Pleasant Code of Ordinances, to note the adoption of
the 2018 South Carolina Fire Code. (Ord. No. 20052)

A. NEW BUSINESS
1. First Reading: An Ordinance to remove an approximately
0.23 acre tract of land located at 904 Old Georgetown Road
from the Coleman Boulevard Overlay District (CB-OD) and
instead include in the Chuck Dawley Boulevard Overlay
District (CD-BOD). (Ord. No. 20055)

2. First Reading: An Ordinance to rezone from AB, Areawide
Business District, to PI-1, Public Institutional-1 District, an
approximately 14.26 acre tract of land located at 645 Coleman
Boulevard and depicted in Plat Book L19, Page 0270,
Charleston County ROD. (Ord. No. 20056)
3. First Reading: An Ordinance to amend Section 156.329 of
Chapter 156, Zoning Code, of the Mount Pleasant Code of
Ordinances pertaining to Temporary Uses. (Ord. No. 20057)
B. OLD BUSINESS
1. Final Reading: An Ordinance to adopt the 2019-2029
Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Mount Pleasant. (Ord.
No. 20015, Exhibit)
2. Final Reading: An Ordinance to amend Sections 156.151
and 156.162 of Chapter 156, Zoning Code, of the Mount
Pleasant Code of Ordinances pertaining to the definition of a
SIGN, their size, and the treatment of temporary signs in

A. New Business
1. First Reading: A temporary Ordinance requiring persons to
wear face coverings in certain circumstances in the Town of
Mount Pleasant to reduce risk of exposure to COVID-19
during the public health emergency and recovery. (Ord. No.
20058)
2. Adoption: A Resolution providing a local match for a
Municipal Association of South Carolina (MASC) Hometown
Economic Development Grant and following its procurement
policy when securing services and products with grant funds.

3. Adoption: A Resolution authorizing a Law Enforcement
Assistance and Support Agreement with the Mount Pleasant
Police Department between the Bishopville Police
Department, Charleston Police Department, Darlington
County Sheriff’s Office, Florence County Sheriff’s Office,
Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and Hampton County

Final Reading: An Ordinance to amend Chapter 154:
