TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT, SOUTH CAROLINA BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS NOVEMBER 19, 2018 MINUTES Attachment 1—Staff Report Present: Joseph Belton, Chair, Barry Wolff, Bobby Carrier, Stephen Wood, Stephen Duke, Glyn Cowden. Absent: David Rubin. Staff: Michael Robertson, Lynnette Lynes Mr. Belton called the meeting to order at 6:03 pm and reviewed the procedures with the public. B. Approval of Agenda Mr. Wolff moved for approval. Mr. Cowden seconded the motion. All in favor. C. Approval of Minutes Mr. Wolff moved for approval of the minutes. Mr. Wood seconded the motion. All in favor. D. Public Comment There being no comments, Mr. Belton continued with the agenda. E. General Correspondence No correspondence was received. F. Administration of Oath Mr. Belton administered the oath to those speaking. G. Business Staff Report 1. Case V-29-18, 480 Triple Oak Drive, TMS# 595-08-00-173, Appeal from the strict application of §156.224 Provisions for Tree Removal, to allow the removal of a 33-inch Red Oak.  Board of Zoning Appeals November 19, 2018 Page 2 of 2 Mr. Robertson reviewed staff comments with the Board (attachment 1). Mr. Michael Antonelli, owner, reviewed the request with the Board and stated that the tree was protected and has been fed over the past eight years. He stated that it is dying, and he is concerned that the tree will fall on the house or endanger his family. Mr. Wolf asked if there is an arborist report. Mr. Robertson answered in the affirmative and read the report for the Board. Mr. Wolf asked if Mr. Antonelli would be amenable to mitigation. Mr. Antonelli answered in the affirmative. Mr. Wolff moved for approval based on the findings that the applicant has met the criteria for a variance. Mr. Duke seconded the motion. All in favor. H.
