TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT, SOUTH CAROLINA COMMERCIAL DESIGN REVIEW BOARD FEBRUARY 23, 2022 MINUTES STAFF REPORT Present: Richard Lambert, Chair, Tara Spencer, Timothy Kiel, William O'Neal, Chris McCarthy, Steve Magoon (arrived at 5:08 pm) Absent: Ian Duncan Mr. Lambert called the meeting to order at 5:01 pm. A. Approval of Agenda Ms. Spencer moved for approval of the agenda. Mr. McCarthy seconded the motion. All in favor. B. Approval of Minutes Mr. McCarthy moved for approval of the minutes. Ms. Spencer seconded the motion. All in favor. C. General Public Comment There being no public comment, Mr. Lambert continued with the agenda. D. General Correspondence No correspondence was received. E. Consent Motions Ms. Spencer moved for consent approval of the following items: ➢ Springhill Suites, 301 South Morgans Point Rd, 600-00-00-055, Final Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture ➢ Yorktown Parking Lot, 40 Patriots Point Blvd, 517-00-00-001, Final Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture Mr. McCarthy seconded the motion. All in favor with Mr. O’Neal abstaining for item #5, Yorktown Parking Lot due to a conflict of interest.  Design Review Board February 23, 2022 Page 2 of 3 Mr. Magoon arrived at this time (5:08 pm). F. Business 1. Circle K, 1402 Ben Sawyer Blvd, 532-11-00-140, Final Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture This item was removed by staff. 2. On the Water, 97 Ronnie Boals Blvd, 517-15-0-017, Final Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture Mr. Stone and Mr. Carter reviewed staff comments with the Board. Mr. Bryan Babak reviewed the request with the Board. Mr. Lambert closed public comment. Ms. Spencer moved for approval including Board comments regarding colors. Mr. Magoon seconded the motion. All in favor. 3. Springhill Suites, 301 South Morgans Point Rd, 600-00-00-055, Final Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture This item was approved by consent. 4. The Cooper Apartments Building 315, 315 Harbor Pointe Dr, 517-00-00- 009, Preliminary Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture Mr. Stone and Mr. Carter reviewed staff comments with the Board. There being no comments, Mr. Lambert closed public comment. Mr. Magoon moved for approval including Board comments, particularly addressing the faux window and the materials as cited by the Board.
