TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT, SOUTH CAROLINA COMMERCIAL DESIGN REVIEW BOARD SEPTEMBER 28, 2022 MINUTES STAFF REPORT Present: Richard Lambert, Chair, Elysssa Morrison, Timothy Kiel, Abigail Richardson, Chris McCarthy, Steve Magoon Staff: Jake Carter, Aaron Bennett, Lynnette Lynes Mr. Lambert called meeting to order at 5:02 pm. A. Approval of Agenda Mr. McCarthy moved for approval of the agenda. Mr. Magoon seconded the motion. All in favor. B. Approval of August Minutes Mr. McCarthy moved for approval of the minutes. Mr. Magoon seconded the motion. All in favor. C. General Public Comment There being no public comment, Mr. Lambert continued with the agenda. D. General Correspondence No correspondence was received. E. Consent Motions No consent motions. F. Business 1. Dunes West Commons Building #4, 3015 Dunes West Blvd, 594-10-00- 844, -845, -846, Preliminary Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture  Design Review Board September 28, 2022 Page 2 of 3 2. Dunes West Commons Building #6, 3015 Dunes West Blvd, 594-01-00- 850, -851, -852, Preliminary Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture. Mr. Carter reviewed staff comments with the Board. Mr. Brian Gardner reviewed the request with the Board. There being no comments, Mr. Lambert closed public comment. Mr. Lambert moved to approve preliminary approval Dunes West Commons Building # 4 and #6. Mr. McCarthy seconded the motion. All in favor. 3. Rivertowne Daycare, Rivertowne Pkwy, 593-05-00-419, Preliminary Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture Mr. Carter reviewed staff comments with the Board. Mr. Mark Kellenberg reviewed the request with the Board. There being no comments, Mr. Lambert closed public comment. Mr. Magoon moved to defer the application to a subcommittee to have all staff comments addressed and to address previous Board comments that were not addressed. Mr. Lambert seconded the motion. All in favor. 4. Ferry Wharf Office Building, Ferry Wharf Rd, 517-00-00-249, Conceptual Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture Ms. Richardson recused herself due to a conflict of interest. Mr. Carter reviewed staff comments with the Board. Mr. Gary Collins, Seamon Whiteside, asked if additional information could be submitted for consideration.  Design Review Board September 28, 2022 Page 3 of 3 Mr. Lambert moved to accept additional information from the applicant. Mr. Magoon seconded. All in favor. Mr. Gary Collins, Seamon Whiteside, Mr. Dana Rechter, architect, and Mr. Mike Bennett, developer, reviewed the request with the Board. Mr. Lambert moved to allow the applicant two additional minutes to review. the application. Mr. McCarthy seconded the motion. All in favor. Mr. Charlie Carmody, 107 New Street, stated he is in favor of request. There being no further comments, Mr. Lambert closed public comment. The Board provided comments on the proposed project.
