TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT, SOUTH CAROLINA COMMERCIAL DESIGN REVIEW BOARD JUNE 26, 2024 MINUTES STAFF REPORT Present: Richard Lambert, Chair, Elissa Morrison, Timothy Kiel, Abigail Richardson, Richard Perez, Matt Senecal, Lee Cave. Staff: Jake Carter, Chris Lubert, James Ward, Jane Yager-Baumrind Mr. Lambert called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. A. Approval of Agenda Mr. Kiel moved for approval of the agenda. Mr. Cave seconded the motion. All in favor. Mr. Kiel moved for approval of the minutes. Ms. Richardson seconded the motion. All in favor. B. General Public Comment C. General Correspondence D. Consent Motions There being no public comment, correspondence, or consent motions, Mr. Lambert continued with the agenda. E. Business 1. Seafair Village, Patriots Point Rd, TMS #517-00-00-001, Final Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture Ms. Richardson recused herself due to a conflict of interest. Mr. Lubert and Mr. Carter reviewed staff comments with the Board. Mr. Michael Bennett, owner, Mr. Richard Ellison, architect, and Gary Collins, landscape architect, reviewed the request with the Board. There being no comments, Mr. Lambert closed public comment.  Design Review Board June 26, 2024 Page 2 of 2 Mr. Kiel moved for approval including staff comments emphasizing the landscape comments. Mr. Senecal seconded the motion. All in favor. 2. Crooked Hammock, Hungry Neck Blvd & Midtown Ave, TMS #559-00-0- 171, -172, -173, & -538, Final Review of Site, Landscape, and Architecture This item was removed by staff. F. Discussion of Bylaws Mr. Ward reviewed this item with the Board. The Board agreed that an ordinance change to require preliminary review for projects with a job cost of $2 million or more should be considered.
