1. Call to Order
Mayor Haynie called the meeting to order at 12:31pm.
2. Approval of Minutes from the November 6, 2023 meeting
Mr. Chapman moved for approval of the minutes; motion seconded by
Ms. Hyatt. Motion carried unanimously.
3. Public Comments
None.
4. Presentation of the draft Mount Pleasant Hazard Mitigation Plan
Ms. Whithead introduced Nathan Slaughter, ESP Associates, stating
that ESP had worked with Town staff to create the Hazard Mitigation Plan.

The plan is currently being reviewed by FEMA and once approved, it would
be ready for the Town’s adoption process.
Mr. Slaughter reviewed the Mount Pleasant Hazard Mitigation Plan
explaining the basic types of mitigation, planning process, hazard
identification, and mitigation strategy.

5. Edwards Park Drainage Basin Project update
Mr. Mitchell provided an update on the Edwards Park Drainage Basin
project.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:45
