TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT, SOUTH CAROLINA PLANNING COMMISSION JUNE 21, 2023 MINUTES PowerPoint Presentation Present: Brett Bennett, Vice-chair, Garrett Lacy, Pam Ireland, Bruce Koedding, Michael McCormick (entered at 5:11 pm), Michelle Mansour, Gary Davis, Bill Smyth Absent: Kathy Smith Staff: Peter Stone, James Ward, Kevin Mitchell, Julie Wright, John Farrell, Lynnette Lynes Mr. Bennett called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. 1. Approval of the Agenda Ms. Ireland moved for approval of the agenda. Mr. Davis seconded the motion. All in favor. 2. Approval of Minutes from May 24th Meeting Mr. Davis moved for approval of the minutes. Mr. Lacy seconded the motion. All in favor. 3. Update on Planning Commission Recommendations Mr. Stone reviewed Town Council decisions with the Commission. 4. Correspondence All correspondence submitted was linked to the agenda. 5. General Public Comment There being no comments, Mr. Bennett closed public comment. Planning Commission Agenda June 21, 2023 Page 2 of 2 6. Requests A. SP-10-23 Review of Sketch Plan for 1374 Rifle Range Rd. Request to subdivide an approximately 1.97-acre parcel, to create 5 lots. Property is currently zoned R-1, Low Density Residential District. Further identified by TMS No. 560-05-00-017. Mr. Farrell reviewed staff comments with the Commission. Mr. McCormick entered at this time (5:11 pm). Mr. Joey Woody, representative for the applicant, reviewed the request with the Commission. Ms. Ireland moved for approval subject to compliance with all of staff comments, numbered 1-6. Mr. Lacy seconded the motion. All in favor. B. Environmental and Development Services Presentation--Update on the newly adopted Environmental Land Development Guidelines. Staff presentation will provide examples being of these LID (Low Impact Development) Techniques being implemented. Ms. Wright and Mr. Mitchell reviewed the newly adopted Environmental Land Development Guidelines with the Commission. The Commission received this as information.
