3. Public Comments
Ms. Lisa Schniptke, 185 Mossy Oak Way, spoke regarding the proposed housing
at Towne Centre. She suggested that having housing at Towne Centre should be
considered as it would be central to all amenities. She suggested that there should
be more affordable housing near amenities to allow for a more walkable
community.
Mr. Mike Tinkey, 208 Venning, spoke regarding the Towne Centre project. He
suggested that there should be a mixed-use development that envisions the
vibrant, sustainable development with multi-family residences outlined in the
Comprehensive Plan. He suggested that the current plan should be denied to allow
the developer to rethink the proposal and come back with a better plan. He
suggested that there should be an equal amount of affordable housing units and
market rate housing units. He suggested that the concessions should benefit the
Town as much as it does the developer. He suggested that more green space
should be considered.
