PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE June 17, 2026 5:30 PM Village Hall, Community Room 1 8811 Campus Drive, Mount Pleasant, WI 53406 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT | 262-664-7800 | planning@mtpleasantwi.gov The village of Mount Pleasant gives notice that the Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, during the agenda of the Board of Appeals that starts at 5:30 PM. The meeting will take place at Village Hall, 8811 Campus Drive, Mount Pleasant, WI 53406. The hearing's purpose is to hear all interested parties regarding the applications to provide relief from unnecessary hardships resulting from strict application of zoning chapter requirements per Division 90-560: Zoning Variances and using procedures outlined therein. Following the close of the hearing, the Zoning Board of Appeals must make findings of fact and act to approve the requested zoning variance, approve the variance with modifications and/or conditions, refer the zoning variance request back to staff or deny the zoning variance request based on the review criteria and standards of § 90-560.80. Zoning Variance ZVA-26-4 for 10116 Spring St TAX PARCEL # 151-03-23-30-384-000 The petitioner requests a variance from section § 90-110.90(c) and Table 90-110-3, which states that accessory buildings cannot be placed in front yards in the RL district. The petitioner wishes to construct a garage in the front yard of a home that is set back approximately 240 feet from the roadway. The neighbor, 10108 Spring St, received the same variance ZVA-02-21 in 2021. The public may view the public hearing maps and items by request or at the Village Hall.
