The speed of the department to get another professional team filled a very large void Chairwoman Mayor Patterson-Howard- Soccer is the biggest sport in the world. Bringing professional soccer team to Mount Vernon, other opportunities come along with it to get young people involved and engaged. Mount VErnon is home to very large Caribbean and Hispanic population and we want to make sure everyone has something that speaks to their skills, ability and culture.
