Assistant Comptroller Hamilton: ARPA is covering a portion of this. Mayor Patterson - Howard: I am excited for the upgrading. Would be good for PD to utilize this platform. approved 9. The company I work for does business with metro. Response: Corporation Counsel Johnson: Yes, you're fine approved 12. Response: Council President Gleason: No. these projects applications have not been put in yet. This is to pay our lawyer fees. Do you want to determine an amount? Comptroller Morton: No because I do not know the transaction amounts, we need some amounts to open the account. Mayor Patterson - Howard: read section 2. Makes it more streamline before developers invest money and the project doesn’t go through Corporation Counsel Johnson: moving toward transparency and efficiency CP Gleason: it has been working better this way. Comptroller Morton: explained escrow accounts and the change in GASBY on what is classified escrow account vs custodial accounts. approved HELD ITEM FROM BOARD OF ESTIMATE'S OCTOBER 15, 2024 MEETING 13. Response: Comptroller Morton: we need to reject it or call for a hold because we found out new requirements. They required the city to take steps as if we were going out to bond. Response: Mayor Patterson - Howard: Didn’t find until 2020 for an incident that happened in 2018. Since then we have updated policy and procedures to avoid these lawsuits. It’s unfortunate because it has to come out of this budget. approved 15. TMP -1014 Attachments: Settlement of Lawsuit for Israel Roman - $130,000.pdf Moved: Council President Gleason, Seconded by Comptroller On the question: none. Response: Mayor Patterson - Howard: Didn’t find until 2020 for an incident that happened in 2018. Since then we have updated policy and procedures to avoid these lawsuits.
