RESOLVED, that a resolution adopted by the City Council on January 8, 2025,
and signed by the Mayor on January 9, 2025, authorizing the Amendment of Ordinance
(I;
No. 4, Authorizing the Mayor to Extend the Westchester Community Health Center for
Mental Health and Wellness Service Contract through the Youth Bureau's Program
(from: December 15, 2023, to May 3, 2024) a new expiration date of August 2025) - (program funding
is accounted for in Revenue Code A2229.8, and appropriations are reflected in Budget Code A7318.405
(Contracted Outside Services), with no matching obligation and funds provided as a cash advance. The
remaining balance of $30,000 as of November 2024 is allocated to fiilfill contractual services under the
amended agreement with WCHC, to be expended by Budget Code A7318.405); be, and the same is
hereby approved.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
SETTLEMENT CLAIM FILED BY MAHLON GOMA
JAN1 3 2025 NATURAL GUARDIAN FOR Z.G., A MINOR
WHEREAS, on October 15, 2019, Mahlon Goma, Natural Guardian for Z.G., a
l minor, filed a Notice of Claim against the City of Mount Vernon (the "City") alleging
violation of his son's civil rights and personal injury action based on a motor vehicle
collision that occurred on September 1, 2019; and
WHEREAS, on October 26, 2020, a federal lawsuit was filed against the City of
Mount Vernon on behalf of Mahlon Goma, Natural Guardian for Z.G., a minor; and
WHEREAS, after negotiations, the City of Mount Vernon has reached a
settlement agreement in the total amount of $30,000; and
WHEREAS, the Corporation Counsel, by letter dated January 3, 2025,
recommends that the Board of Estimate & Contract approve this settlement in the total
amount of $30,000; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT:
RESOLVED, that the aforesaid claim of MAHLON GOMA, natural guardian
to Z.G., a minor, be settled for the sum of $30,000.00 and that said settlement be and the
same hereby is approved; and be it further
RESOLVED, the payment shall be allocated from Budget Code A1930.494
(Judgments & Settlements), 2025 BudgeOt.
