Vernon, NY 1. Call of the Meeting: 9:24am 2. Roll Call Present: Chair, Darren Morton Co-Chair, Stephanie Vanderpool Secretary, Antoinette Anderson Absent: Council President Cathlin Gleason Additional Participants: Brian Johnson, Corporate Counsel Joyce Brown, Land Use Counsel 3. Guests: None 4. Approval of March 29, 2024 Minutes: Motion to approve by CP Gleason, seconded by Co- Chair Vanderpool. All were in favor – the motioned passed. 5. Correspondences: Were read for the record. 6. Guests Comments/Open Floor: a. None 7. Comments: The Chair explained that expenses related to properties are under review by the finance department, to move towards accepting offers. The new NYS law which has an impact on this process is being considered. In addition, escrow and repaying any deposits that were taken by the previous Comptroller is under review. This process has not been done in prior years and has therefore presented an extra layer of research for this administration. It is our hope that some information will be available at the next meeting. 8. Old/New Business Sentinel proposal of 200 block of South 4th Avenue is being vetted. It is currently with the city administration and the City Council for consideration. CP Gleason stated that CM Poteat made  recommendations to Penrose about low-income units. We are awaiting a ground lease which should go to this committee first, then the City Council. The Chair stated that the Sentinel project will be eligible for the federal grant as it is in radius to be considered “transit related” because it is within a half of mile radius from transit. Putting Assets to Work – finalized playbook is out for design. A strategy and path forward will be shared once received. 9. The CP Gleason motion to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by the Co-Chair.
