CITY OF MOUNT VERNON CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION Agenda April 3, 2013 – 7:00 p.m. Police/Court Campus A. Committee Report – Public Safety B. Community Comments C. Executive Session: i. Discussion with legal counsel representing the City in matters relating to City enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel representing the City litigation or potential litigation to which the City, the governing body, or a member acting in an official capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge regarding the discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial consequence to the City pursuant to RCW 42.30.110 (1)(i); and ii. To consider the selection of a site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase when public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a likelihood of increased price pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(b); and iii. Collective bargaining with employee organizations, including contract negotiations, grievance meetings, and discussions relating to the interpretation or application of a labor agreement; and the planning or adopting the strategy or position to be taken by the governing body during the course of any collective bargaining, professional negotiations, or grievance or mediation proceedings; and reviewing proposals made in the negotiations pursuant to RCW 42.30.140 (4).
