Development Services Committee Meeting January 16, 2019 Attendees Present: Mayor Boudreau Council Members: Hudson, Moberg, Molenaar, Beaton, Carías, Hulst and Brocksmith Staff Members: Project Development Manager – Donovan; Development Services Director – Phillips; Planning Manager - Lowell Minutes from December 19, 2018 were approved. 1. Facility update – City Staff presented 2018 Facility Renewal Projects year in review, and budgeted 2019 Facility Renewal Projects. 2. Smart Gov – City Staff stated they had cut over to the new Permit Software System and provided a detailed implementation strategy. Training Modules have been completed and City Staff will begin daily SmartGov Portal Training for residents and the Development Community through mid-March 2019. 3. 2018 Year in Review – City Staff presented a detailed 2018 Year In Review that included information on the following: Population, Land Use Dwellings, Building/Engineering/Planning Permit figures, Code Enforcement data and Completed Projects, Ordinance Updates and City Code Updates. 4. Pending Projects – City Staff presented pending MVMC Amendments as they related to CH 17, 17.53, 17.57, 17.69, 17.90 and 17.102. City Staff informed the City Council that the Planning Commission voted 5-0 to recommend approval. 5. Residential and Commercial Project Update – City Staff updated Council on the following Commercial Projects: Madison School, MV High School, Skagit Radiology and the YMCA; Residential Projects: Montreaux II, Woodside 6-9, Eaglemont and Highland Greens Division 3; and Downtown Projects: Shintaffer Brewery, Billiards, Old Gretchen’s Building and 192 Brewery Phase II.
