Finance & Parks and Enrichment Services Committee Minutes August 28, 2024 Police Court Campus, 1805 Continental Place Councilmember Hudson called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm Present Mayor Donovan Councilmembers: Beaton, Brocksmith, Carias (6:02), Hudson, Molenaar, and Tercero, Staff Present: Finance Director Volesky, City Attorney Rogerson, Parks and Enrichment Services Director Berner, Special Projects Manager Sexton, Recreation Coordinator Ahlegian, Recreation Coordinator Rovegno, and David Davenport Citizens 0 1. Approval of July 24, 2024 Minutes Councilmember Tercero moved to approve the July 24, 2024, committee minutes. Motion seconded by Councilmember Beaton. Motion carried 6-0. 2. Parks and Enrichment Services  Summer Programs Update: Recreation Coordinators Ahlegian and Rovengo, and Recreation Lead Davenport provided highlights of the summer programs Rec on the Go, Supervised Playground, Nature Camps, and Sports Camps 3. Finance  Fiscal Policies: In preparation and compliance with the kick-off of the budget process, Mr. Volesky reviewed the City’s Fiscal Policy  Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC): Discussion of the Lodging Tax fund, the grant application process, and the role of the LTAC. 4. Other  Purchasing Policy Update: Mr. Rogerson provided a high-level overview of the purchasing policy updates.
