SPECIAL MEETING OF THE SHORELINE REGIONAL PARK COMMUNITY
6:30 P.M.-STUDY SESSION (HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS)
1. CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
President McAlister called the meeting to order at 6:39 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: 7 - Boardmember Clark, Boardmember Inks, Boardmember Kasperzak, Boardmember
Rosenberg, Boardmember Siegel, Vice President Showalter, and President McAlister
3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC ON NONAGENDIZED ITEMS
Don Letcher spoke in support of changing the name of the Community Development Department to
the Community Preservation Department. Mr. Letcher also spoke in opposition to actions taken at
the January 13th meeting for development in Rengstorff Park.
Don Bahl expressed concerns that Century Theatre was issued a provisional use permit to sell beer
and wine.
Linda Curtis expressed concerns with bicycle safety and presented recommendations for safety
improvements to Mountain View roadways.
Stephanie Munoz presented recommendations regarding future use of the downtown parking areas
and affordable housing.

4.1 North Bayshore Precise Plan and Residential Uses.
Principal Planner Alkire presented an oral report and he, Community Development Director Tsuda,
Counsel Quinn, and Community Manager Rich, responded to the Board's questions.

Recommendation(s): The purpose of this Study Session is to provide the City Council the
opportunity to discuss whether they wish to amend the North Bayshore
Precise Plan or other areas of the General Plan for residential uses.
