CALL TO ORDER President Matichak called the meeting to order at 6:42 p.m. 2. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC ON NONAGENDIZED ITEMS Steven Nelson, retired elementary school district trustee, spoke regarding the Shoreline Community Act and public education funding, and provided written materials. Lenny Siegel spoke regarding Council comments during discussion of a North Bayshore Plan item at a prior meeting. Alvin Cura recommended Council consider the separation of bicycles and pedestrians from car traffic in future planning. 4. STUDY SESSION 4.1 Council Goal-Setting for Fiscal Years 2019-20 and 2020-21 Assistant City Manager/Chief Operating Officer Audrey Seymour Ramberg presented the process and timeline for FY 2019-20 and 2020-21 Council Goal-Setting and provided an update on the FY 2017-18 and 2018-19 Council goals. Police Chief Max Bosel provided comments in response to Council questions. Council reviewed and discussed the current Council goals. Assistant City Manager/Chief Operating Officer Seymour Ramberg summarized the Council discussion that the current major goal areas would carry forward with additional elements: for housing, to include subsidized housing; for transportation, to include technology infrastructure; and for sustainability, to include concepts of livability. Assistant City Manager/Chief Operating Officer Seymour Ramberg introduced the process for project brainstorming and provided an overview of projects continuing beyond FY 2018-19. Council presented their individual project ideas. Assistant City Manager/Chief Operating Officer Seymour Ramberg provided closing comments and information regarding next steps. 5. ADJOURNMENT - At 11:11 p.m., President Matichak adjourned the meeting.
