ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Commission on any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Commission from acting on non-agenda items. 5. STUDY SESSION 1001 North Shoreline Boulevard. Study Session to discuss proposed General Plan and Zoning Map amendments to allow a residential development consisting of two new seven-story residential structures with a total of 303 units and an above-grade parking structure on a site with a 111,443 square-foot office building at 1001 North Shoreline Boulevard. Recommendation: That the Environmental Planning Commission provide input on the request for a new residential development at 1001 North Shoreline Boulevard. Jaime Fearer, of California Walks, and Colin Heyne, of Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, will give a presentation on Vision Zero, the international movement to eliminate roadway fatalities and serious injuries. Recommendation: The EPC will hear a presentation and provide comments. No formal action will be taken by the EPC on this item. 7. COMMISSION/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS, AND COMMITTEE REPORTS No action will be taken on any questions raised by the Commission at this time. 8. ADJOURNMENT Adjourn to the Special Meeting of Wednesday, February 22, 2017, in City Hall, 500 Castro Street. Meeting date, time, and venue are subject to change.
