MINUTES APPROVAL 3.1 Minutes Approval Recommendation: Approve the October 19, 2022 meeting minutes. Attachments: 2022-10-19 Draft Minutes 4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on non-agenda items. 5. NEW BUSINESS 5.1 TheatreWorks Silicon Valley Annual Review Recommendation: Hear Staff report and TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's recap of the year. Background: As part of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley (TWSV) long term Home Company contract, Staff will present a summary of performance use days, sales and expenses, and open up discussion for opportunities to improve service and/or relations. TWSV will provide a report on their financials and discuss their outreach activities for the past year. Attachments: Memorandum ATT 1 - Financial Analysis 5.2 Upstage Theater Annual Review Recommendation: Hear Staff report and Upstage Theater's recap of the year. Background: As part of Upstage Theater's long term SecondStage Home Company contract, Staff will present a summary of performance use days, sales and expenses, and open up discussion for opportunities to improve service and/or relations. Upstage Theater will provide a report on their financials and discuss their outreach activities for the past year. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS No action will be taken on questions raised by the Committee at this time. 7. SPECIAL NOTICE: Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Performing Arts Committee regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Center for the Performing Arts office, located at 500 Castro Street, during normal business hours and at the meeting location noted on the agenda during the meeting. ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair. Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the “Oral Communications” part of the agenda. Speakers are allowed to speak one time on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
