SPECIAL MEETING
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kumar called the meeting to order at 10:45 AM.
2. ROLL CALL
Present 3 - Committee Member Carol Donahue, Vice Chair John McAlister, and Chair Sukanya Kumar
Excused 2 - Committee Member David Garcia, and Committee Member Yao Yao
3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC
Two representatives of the Red Rock Collective spoke of concerns regarding the City of Mountain View's
current City codes concerning live music.
Chair Kumar recessed meeting at 10:54 to reconvene at Lesher Center for the Arts at Noon.
4. TOUR OF LESHER CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Tour of Lesher Center for the Performing Arts
Chair Kumar reconvened meeting at Lesher Center for the Arts at 12:07 PM.
The Performing Arts Committee toured the Lesher Center for the Arts with General Manager Carolyn
Jackson.
5. ADJOURNMENT
At 2:06 PM, Chair Kumar adjourned the meeting to the next Performing Arts Committee meeting to be held
on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, in the Atrium Conference Room, 500 Castro Street.

Agenda Items 1-3 and public comments on item 4 will take place at Mountain View City Hall in the Atrium Conference room.
PAC will reconvene at 12:00 PM at the Lesher Center for the Arts, 1601 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94596 for Agenda Item 4.

3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC
This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not
on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on
non-agenda items.
4. TOUR OF LESHER CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Performing Arts Committee will tour the Lesher Center for the Arts to review
comparable theater operations and programming as a part of the Home Company
review process.
Members of the public are welcome to drive to the location and participate in the tour
with the Performing Arts Committee.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:

of the meeting. Special meetings may be called as necessary by the Committee Chair and noticed at least 24 hours in advance of the
meeting.

Interested persons may review the agenda and staff reports at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts beginning the Friday
before each regular meeting. Staff reports are also available during each meeting.

Center for the Performing Arts office at 650-903-6565. Notification of 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make
reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting. (28 CFR 35.160 (b) (1)).
The Committee may take action on any matter noticed herein in any manner deemed appropriate by the Committee. Their consideration
of the matters noticed herein is not limited by the recommendations indicated herein.
SPECIAL NOTICE: Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Performing Arts Committee regarding any item on this agenda
will be made available for public inspection in the Center for the Performing Arts office, located at 500 Castro Street, during normal
business hours and at the meeting location noted on the agenda during the meeting.
ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE
Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair.
Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the “Oral Communications” part of the agenda.
Speakers are allowed to speak one time on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
Anyone requiring interpretation services will be afforded twice the allotted speaking time allowed for each specific item.
