City of Mountain View Minutes - Final Performing Arts Committee Wednesday, February 19, 2025 6:15 PM Atrium Conference Room & Video Conference, 500 Castro St., Mountain View, CA 94041 This meeting was conducted with a virtual component. 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair Garcia brought the meeting to order at 6:23 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Vice Chair Donahue requested to attend the meeting virtually due to an emergency situation. Present 3 - Committee Member Yao Yao, Vice Chair Carol Donahue, and Chair David Garcia 3. MINUTES APPROVAL 3.1 Minutes Approval M/S Yao/Donahue - Approved the January 15, 2025 minutes. Yes: 3 - Committee Member Yao, Vice Chair Donahue, and Chair Garcia 4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC - None 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - None 6. NEW BUSINESS 6.1 Visual Arts Committee Presentation Visual Arts Committee (VAC) staff member, Kirsten Hinds, presented on the current projects for the committee. Ms. Hinds answered the committee's questions concerning public art, and the general direction Mountain View residents would like for public art installations to be featured around the City. 6.2 Downtown Committee Presentation Downtown Committee (DC) staff member, Amanda Rotella, presented on the current projects for the committee. Ms. Rotella answered the committee's questions concerning future plans for further developing the downtown's infrastructure, and supporting the downtown revitalization mission. The following member(s) of the public spoke from the floor virtually: - Valerie Fenwick 6.3 Ad hoc Members Chair Garcia and Vice Chair Donahue volunteered to be part of the VAC-DC-PAC Ad hoc formation to discuss collaboration between the three committees. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS Performing Arts Manager Theresa Yvonne introduced the new Performing Arts Supervisor for Audience and Client Services, Sean Griffin. 8. ADJOURNMENT Chair Garcia adjourned the meeting at 7:16 p.m. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC: The agenda and staff reports are available online at mountainview.legistar.com. Questions and comments regarding the agenda may be directed to the Performing Arts Division at 650-903-6565. The Committee may consider and act on items listed on the agenda in any order. Consideration of the matters noticed herein is not limited by the recommendations indicated herein. Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if you need special assistance in this meeting, please contact the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts office at 650-903-6565. Notification of 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting. (28 CFR 35.160 (b) (1)). ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair. Anyone wishing to address the Committee on an item not on the agenda may do so during the “Oral Communications” part of the agenda. Speakers are allowed to speak once on any number of topics for up to three minutes. For any agenda item or for Oral Communications on nonagenda items, if there appears to be a large number of speakers, the Chair may reduce speaking time to no less than 1.5 minutes per speaker unless there is an objection from the Committee by majority vote. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.3(b)(1), at least twice the allotted speaking time will be provided to a member of the public who utilizes a translator. City of Mountain View Page 2

The Visual Arts Committee's (VAC) staff member will present on the current projects it has undertaken. 6.2 Downtown Committee Presentation Recommendation: No action taken. The Downtown Committee's (DTC) staff member will present on the current projects it has undertaken. 6.3 Ad hoc Members Recommendation: Elect two PAC committee members to the VAC-DC-PAC Ad hoc formation to discuss collaboration between the three committees. 7. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS No action will be taken on questions raised by the Committee at this time. 8. ADJOURNMENT The next Performing Arts Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 19, at 6:15 p.m. in the Atrium Conference Room, 500 Castro Street.
