1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Hui called the meeting to order at 2:01 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL - Committee members Gilfix, Nichols, Sinha, Vice Chair Tymes and Chair
Hui
3. APPROVE MINUTES
M/S Tymes/Nichols carried 3-0-2; To approve the minutes for the Meeting of February 15,
2023 with one modification.
4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC
5. PRESENTATION
5.1 Advisory Body Input on the Fiscal Years 2023-24 and 2024-25 Council
Work Plan Potential Projects
The Committee reviewed the proposed project list for the Fiscal Years 2023-24 and
2024-25 Council Work Plan and provided input on project prioritization.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
6.1 Senior Survey Subcommittee
Vice Chair Tymes updated the Senior Advisory Committee (SAC) that the Avenidas
survey results have been delivered and will be shared with all Committee members via
email.
7. NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Work Plan Update
The SAC discussed how to increase their presence in Mountain View.
7.2 Santa Clara County Senior Care Commission Update
Vice Chair Tymes updated the Committee on over 20 projects the Santa Clara County
Senior Care Commission is working on.
7.3 Sourcewise Advisory Council Update

7.4 Potential Grant Opportunity
The SAC discussed how to move forward with grant opportunities in the future.
8. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, COMMITTEE REPORTS
8.1 Senior Center Update
Staff provided a brief summary of Senior Center programming and comments cards
received during the month of March.
8.2 Committee Roundtable
Vice Chair Tymes updated the SAC on the fundraising effort to benefit in-home support
services for the County of Santa Clara.
9. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Hui adjourned the meeting at 3:13 p.m.

on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on

Recommendation: Receive an update of the work being done by the Senior Survey Subcommittee.
7. NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Work Plan Update
Recommendation: Committee members will share current updates on Work Plan Items.
7.2 Santa Clara County Senior Care Commission Update
Recommendation: Vice Chair Tymes will provide an update on the work being done by the Santa Clara
County Senior Care Commission.
7.3 Sourcewise Advisory Council Update
Recommendation: Committee member Gilfix will provide an update on the work being done by the
Sourcewise Advisory Council.
7.4 Potential Grant Opportunity
Recommendation: The Committee will discuss the opportunity to apply for a grant through the
California Department of Aging.
8. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, COMMITTEE REPORTS
No action will be taken on any questions raised by the Committee at this time.
8.1 Senior Center Update
Recommendation: Staff will provide a brief summary of Senior Center programming and comment cards
received during the month of March.
8.2 Committee Roundtable
Recommendation: No action will be taken on any questions raised by the SAC at this time. Approval by
the SAC to agendize for future meetings can be reached by a majority vote.
