Chair Hui called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m.

Committee Member Tymes provided an update from the Palo Alto senior survey.

5.4 Sourcewise Advisory Council Update
Committee member Gilfix informed the committee she will beginning her role on the
Sourcewise Advisory Council in July.

7.1 Senior Center Update
Staff liaison Petersen provided a brief summary of Senior Center programming and
comment cards received during the month of April.
7.2 Committee Roundtable
Vice Chair Tymes notified the Senior Advisory Committee that the benefit concert she
was organizing has been canceled.
8. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Hui adjourned meeting at 2:26 p.m.

Recommendation: Approve the Senior Advisory Committee meeting minutes of March 15, 2023.

4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC
This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not on the
agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on non-agenda
items.
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
5.1 Senior Survey Subcommittee
Recommendation: Receive an update of the work being done by the Senior Survey Subcommittee.
5.2 Work Plan Update
Recommendation: Committee members will share current updates on Work Plan Items.
5.3 Santa Clara County Senior Care Commission Update
Recommendation: Vice Chair Tymes will provide an update on the work being done by the Santa Clara
County Senior Care Commission.
5.4 Sourcewise Advisory Council Update
Recommendation: Committee member Gilfix will provide an update on the work being done by the
Sourcewise Advisory Council.

7. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, COMMITTEE REPORTS
No action will be taken on any questions raised by the Committee at this time.
7.1 Senior Center Update
Recommendation: Staff will provide a brief summary of Senior Center programming and comment cards
received during the month of April.
7.2 Committee Roundtable
Recommendation: No action will be taken on any questions raised by the SAC at this time. Approval by
the SAC to agendize for future meetings can be reached by a majority vote.
8. ADJOURNMENT

ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE
Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair.
Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the "Oral Communications" part of the agenda.
Speakers are allowed to speak once on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
