1. CALL TO ORDER
2. ROLL CALL - Committee members Braun, Byon, Chan, Galindo, Jhin, Luna, Ma, Montano,
Motaghiannezam, Murphy, Nair, Rajasekaran, Tissera, Wang, and Zayats.

3. APPROVE MINUTES
M/S Chan/Wang to approve the June 5 meeting minutes.

6. NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Teambuilder
Recreation Coordinator Lauren Eck led a team builder.
6.2 El Camino Health BOOST Presentation
El Camino Health licensed Clinical Psychologist Lori Riggo presented a workshop on mental health.
6.3 Role of the Youth Advisory Committee and Election of Leadership Roles
Recreation Coordinator Lauren Eck and Recreation Supervisor Greg Milano reviewed the role of the Youth
Advisory Committee and provided information on YAC leadership positions.
6.4 The View Teen Center Information and Input
Recreation Coordinator Lauren Eck shared information on the View Teen Center and Committee members
provided input on the facility and programs.
6.5 Teen Wellness Retreat
Committee members brainstormed ideas for a Youth Advisory Committee led workshop at the Teen
Wellness Retreat and provided ideas for marketing the event.

3. APPROVE MINUTES
Approve the Youth Advisory Committee meeting minutes of Monday, June 5, 2023.
4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC
This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not
on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on
non-agenda items.
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
6. NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Teambuilder
Committee members will participate in a team builder activity.
6.2 El Camino Health BOOST Presentation
Lori Riggo, PhD, will provide information on the BOOST Teen Workshop held at The View Teen Center on
Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 5:30-7 p.m.
6.3 Role of the Youth Advisory Committee and Election of Leadership Roles
City Staff will review the role of the Youth Advisory Committee. City staff will provide information on
leadership positions, including Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary, to be voted on at the September 5
meeting.
6.4 The View Teen Center Information and Input

City staff will share information on The View Teen Center, including a tour of the facility and information
on upcoming programs.
6.5 Teen Wellness Retreat
City Staff will share information on the Teen Wellness Retreat event held on Saturday, September 30,
2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Community Center. Committee members will
brainstorm ideas for a YAC-led workshop and provide ideas for marketing the event to teens.
7. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, COMMITTEE REPORTS
No action will be taken on any questions raised by the Committee at this time.
8. ADJOURNMENT

Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair.
Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the "Oral Communications" part of the agenda.
Speakers are allowed to speak once on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
