1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Chan called the meeting to order at 4:40 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL - Committee members Braun, Byon, Galindo, Jhin, Ma, Montano, Motaghiannezam,
Murphy, Nair, Rajasekaran, Tissera, Wang, Zayats, Vice Chair Luna, and Chair Chan.
Present 10 - Kaitlyn Byon, Amy Galindo, Ryan Jhin, Victoria Ma, Leilani Montano, Ariana Motaghiannezam,
Jayan Nair, Ryan Wang, Vice Chair Taylor Luna, and Chair Natalie Chan
Absent 5 - Simon Braun, Nolan Murphy, Shahana Rajasekaran, Jade Tissera, and Meital Zayats
3. APPROVE MINUTES
3.1 Minutes Approval
Approve the April 1 meeting minutes.

6. NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Subcommittee Updates
The College and Career, Cultural Diversity and Health and Wellness, Marketing and Outreach, and
Teen-Friendly Business Award Subcommittees provided an update on work plan items.
6.2 Teen Week 2024
Recreation Coordinator, Lauren Eck, provided an update on Teen Week events. Committee Members
finalized the Teen-Friendly Business Award selections and signed up to volunteer at Teen Week events.
6.3 teen Mental Health First Aid
Recreation Coordinator, Lauren Eck, shared information on the upcoming teen Mental Health First Aid
training available in July 2024. All YAC members will be encouraged to participate in the training.

6.4 Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan
Recreation Coordinator, Lauren Eck, shared information on the Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan and
Committee Members filled out a short survey with their input.

Chair Chan adjourned the meeting at 5:37 p.m.
