CALL TO ORDER Chair Chan called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL - Committee Members Andrzejek, Byon, Jhin, John, Lew, Ma, Montano, Nair, Oh, Rajasekaran, Tan, Wazhi, Zayats, Vice Chair Luna, and Chair Chan. Present 12 - Member Dylan Andrzejek, Member Natalie Chan, Member Ryan Jhin, Member Naisha John, Member Sophia Lew, Member Leilani Montano, Member Jayan Nair, Member Jiwoo Oh, Member Shahana Rajasekaran, Member Kaelyn Tan, Member Kavya Wazhi, and Member Meital Zayats Absent 3 - Member Katie Byon, Member Taylor Luna, and Member Victoria Ma 3. APPROVE MINUTES 3.1 Minutes Approval M/S Nair/Jhin — Carried 12-0-3; Absent— Byon, Ma, and Vice Chair Luna — To approve the September 30 meeting minutes. Yes: 12 - Member Andrzejek, Member Chan, Member Jhin, Member John, Member Lew, Member Montano, Member Nair, Member Oh, Member Rajasekaran, Member Tan, Member Wazhi, and Member Zayats 4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC None. 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None. 6. NEW BUSINESS 6.1 Team Builder Activity YAC Leadership led committee members in a team building activity. 6.2 2024-25 Youth Advisory Committee Work Plan M/S Montano/Zayats —Carried 12-0-3; Absent— Byon, Ma, and Vice Chair Luna— To approve the 2024-25 Youth Advisory Committee Work Plan as amended. Yes: 12 - Member Andrzejek, Member Chan, Member Jhin, Member John, Member Lew, Member Montano, Member Nair, Member Oh, Member Rajasekaran, Member Tan, Member Wazhi, and Member Zayats City of Mountain View Page 1 Youth Advisory Committee Minutes - Final October 14, 2024 6.3 Youth Advisory Committee Social Staff Liason, Lauren Eck, shared information on the upcoming YAC Social, a yearly event hosted by the California Park & Recreation Society Youth and Teen Recreation Services Committee. The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Los Altos Community Center. 6.4 Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities Chair Chan shared information about upcoming volunteer opportunities - Monster Bash, Holiday Bazaar, and Cops and Gobblers. 7. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, COMMITTEE REPORTS 8.
