A. Text Amendment changing minimum area for PVD from 100 acres to 30 acres. Background/Analysis Staff is proposing the following changes to the area required for PVD districts: Current: 67.1 Objectives The Board of Mayor and Aldermen may, upon proper application, rezone a site of at least one hundred (100) acres to PVD to facilitate the use of flexible techniques of land development and site design by providing relief from zone requirements designed for conventional developments. In addition, the Board may establish standards and procedures, including restricting land uses to only those compatible to surrounding development prior to a rezoning in order to obtain one or more of the following objectives: Proposed: 67.1 Objectives The Board of Mayor and Aldermen may, upon proper application, rezone a site of at least thirty (30) acres to PVD to facilitate the use of flexible techniques of land development and site design by providing relief from zone requirements 2  designed for conventional developments. In addition, the Board may establish standards and procedures, including restricting land uses to only those compatible to surrounding development prior to a rezoning in order to obtain one or more of the following objectives: Recommendation Staff recommends the Planning Commission send a positive recommendation on the proposed text amendment. 3
