New Business: H-16-002 – 446 East Main Street, Blake and Priscilla Smith- Requesting to change the lighting fixtures on both sides of the front door at their residence This property is located on the south side of East Main Street just one lot from the intersection at Highland Avenue. The house was constructed circa 1875 in the Italianate style of architecture then renovated to the Colonial Revival style of architecture with a classical wrap-around porch, modillions, two stories, brick exterior with a hip roof. This house is a contributing structure in the East Main Street Historic District of the National Register of Historic Places. The property in question is located at 446 East Main Street which was recently purchased by the applicants. They have been making interior modifications to the house and would also like to change the light fixtures on both sides of the front entrance door. The applicants have submitted the lighting fixture specification sheet which has been included in the agenda materials. Photographs of the current light fixtures have been submitted that shows the existing light fixtures on both sides of their existing front door. Photographs of the neighboring houses on both sides of the subject property have also been submitted for the Commission’s review.
