MINUTES OF THE MURFREESBORO PLANNING COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING NOVEMBER 30, 2022 11:30 a.m. CITY HALL MEMBERS PRESENT STAFF PRESENT Kathy Jones, Chair Greg McKnight, Planning Director Ken Halliburton, Vice-Chair Matthew Blomeley, Assistant Planning Director Jami Averwater Margaret Ann Green, Principal Planner Bryan Prince Marina Rush, Principal Planner Warren Russell Amelia Kerr, Planner Chase Salas Joel Aguilera, Planner Shawn Wright Katie Noel, Project Engineer Gabriel Moore, Project Engineer Jennifer Knauf, Project Engineer Carolyn Jaco, Recording Assistant Roman Hankins, Assistant City Attorney 1. Call to order. The meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. 2. Determination of a quorum. It was determined that a quorum was present. 3. Discussion of the amendments to Chapter 4: Land Use of the Murfreesboro 2035 Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Map [2019-S-102]. Mr. Greg McKnight explained that the purpose for the meeting would be to discuss and schedule a public hearing for amendments to Chapter 4: Land Use of the Murfreesboro 2035 Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Map. Mr. McKnight stated the meeting would be informal and include a PowerPoint presentation provided by Mr. Kevin Guenther, Vice President/Landscape Architect at Ragan-Smith. Business Innovation (BI)  Transition Policy At the conclusion of the presentation, the Planning Commission had the opportunity to review the proposed maps and ask questions of Mr. Greg McKnight, Mr. Matthew Blomeley, Ms. Margaret Ann Green, Ms. Marina Rush, and Mr. Kevin Guenther.
