However, the Commission can take no action on matters that are not part of the posted agenda. A time limit of three minutes may be applied on each individual addressing the Commission. Any individual or group desiring to make a presentation to the Commission of more than three (3) minutes in length must make arrangements with the Planning Director in advance. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes Recommended Action: Approve the minutes of the June 12, 2024 Regular Planning Commission Meeting. PUBLIC HEARINGS 6th Code Updates (MCA-2023-00003) to the City’s Development Code for the purpose of revising and updating Chapters 16.18, 16.22, 16.30, 16.34, 16.38, 16.42, 16.44, 16.52, 16.56, 16.60, 16.68, 16.70, 16.72, 16.73, 16.78, 16.90 , And 16.110 (“Development Code Amendment”) Recommended Action: 1. Provide a recommendation to the City Council finding that the 6th Code Updates are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines in accordance with Class 32, Section Number §15061(b)(3); and 2. Receive public comments; and 3. Provide direction on any potential Director’s Determination updates if desired to staff for incorporation into the draft ordinance; and 4. Adopt (Attachment 1) A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MURRIETA, RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZE THE FILING OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION AND APPROVE DEVELOPMENT CODE AMENDMENT (MCA-2023-00003) FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVISING AND UPDATING CHAPTERS 16.18, 16.22, 16.30, 16.34, 16.38, 16.42, 16.44, 16.52, 16.56, 16.60, 16.68, 16.70, 16.72, 16.73, 16.78, 16.90, AND 16.110 (“DEVELOPMENT CODE AMENDMENT”) Page 1 of 2 Planning Commission Meeting Agenda June 26, 2024 WORKSHOP Planning Commission Training and Workshop on Commission Functions, the Public Process, Public Record Act Requests, the Brown Act and State law. Recommended Action: Receive a workshop presentation by staff regarding a General Overview of the Planning Commission functions related to the public process, Public Record Act Requests (PRARs), the Brown Act and State law, particularly new Housing law. Have a discussion regarding these topics, provide comments and/or ask questions of staff, and then allow for the public to provide comments or ask questions.
