SPECIAL MEETING - 12:00 PM
A Special Meeting for the City Council of the City of Napa was called on Monday, December 3,
2018 at 12:00 p.m. to be held at City Hall Council Chambers, 955 School Street, Napa,
California, for the purpose identified on this Agenda. The Special Meeting was called in
accordance with California Government Code Section 54956.
1. CALL TO ORDER: 12:03 P.M.
1.A. Roll Call:
Present: 5- Mayor Techel, Vice Mayor Mott, Councilmember Gentry, Councilmember Krider,
and Vice Mayor Sedgley
2. AGENDA REVIEW AND SUPPLEMENTAL REPORTS:
City Clerk Roberts announced the following supplemental information:
1- Correction to the Resolution as shown by a red-lined and final version
correcting the whole number of ballots cast in Section 4B from 50,618 to
32,042. She stated that the resolution confirming the results of Measure F
would be considered at a subsequent meeting as soon as possible.
2- An email received this date at 11:30 a.m. from John Tuteur, Registrar of
Voters, stating that the manual tally results of Precinct 421224 confirm the
machine count for the City Council candidates and Measure F.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT:
There was no public comment.
4. ELECTION RESULTS AND REORGANIZATION:

4.A. 1564-2018 Results of November 6, 2018 General Municipal Election
A motion was made by Vice Mayor Mott, seconded by Councilmember Krider, to
adopt Resolution R20018-138 (as revised correcting the whole number of votes)
declaring the results of the November 6, 2018 City of Napa General Municipal
Election and installing the two newly elected Councilmembers, Liz Alessio and
Mary Luros, to the City Council.. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 5- Techel, Mott, Gentry, Krider, and Sedgley
Enactment No: R2018-138
4.B. 1594-2018
Councilmembers Elect Liz Alessio and Mary Luros were given the Oath of
Office by City Clerk Roberts.
5. COMMENTS BY COUNCIL OR CITY MANAGER:
After the Oaths were given, both Councilmembers Elect were installed and
seated at the dais. They both spoke, thanking their supporters and
acknowledging those in attendance.
Councilmembers Sedgley and Gentry both welcomed the newly elected
Councilmembers.
