Maintenance Report:

Status of Renovations: (Mayor Donnalee Lozeau)
Donnalee supports getting the Hunt Building back to where it needs to be so that we can be self sufficient.
The bond did pass. First this thing is to get the apron around the building to address the water issue in the
building. The bond is for more than just the Hunt Building…..other city properties as well. After the apron is
finished, a manager will be appointed to get the ball rolling with the rest of the project.

The Jordan Institute is doing some project management work for the City. The Mayor is hoping to have
someone on board for project management by the end of the month.
We discussed holding a brainstorming session that includes a tour and discussion about uses of the building.
Mayor Lozeau is happy to help us set up a meeting and has some funds (a few hundred dollars) for a
facilitator.
Board Trustee membership update by Mayor: Mayor Lozeau has a packet out with June Caron to be a board
trustee. Charlie received a message from June declining. He will talk to her about joining the Friends group.
Claire McGrath has agreed to serve.
Events:
Carolyn has a full list of rental dates and distributed to the trustees.
The Garden Club would like to have their big show at the Hunt.
Fundraising:
Nothing this month.
Friends of the Hunt:
Friends President Sara Gual reported that the Friends will participate at the Hunt Building table at the History
Fair taking place at the Nashua Public Library on Sunday, March 14, from 1 - 4. The friends are still working on
procuring an EIN and 501c3 status.
Old Business:
No Old Business
New Business:
The recent wind storm blew our events sign away from the railing on the Main St. entrance. Frank Mellon
proposed a temporary solution to our sign problem: a vertical post attached to the railing and supporting our
events sign. He passed around pictures of the concept and received a quote of $150 to mount and install the
sign.
Charlie made a motion to proceed with the new post, not to exceed $150. Marilyn seconded. Motion
passed.
Frank Mellen moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:20 pm
Respectfully submitted
Joy Barrett
