Hunt Building Board of Trustees

The Hunt Building Minutes April 6, 2010 4pm Meeting started at 4:05pm In attendance: Charlie Matthews, Joy Barrett, Frank Mellen, Marilyn Solomon, Alderman Mary Ann Melizzi- Golja, Nick Efstathiou, Judy Carlson (Friends of the Hunt) and Alderman Dick LaRose Correspondence: Discussion of a letter received from a dissatisfied rental customer. No trash taken out, no vacuuming done, ruminant party decorations, the stairway was blocked off for the leaky roof, etc. A motion was made to contact Cheryl Lindner & Suzanne Boire and let them know we will request a refund from the City of Nashua for the rental fee of $250.00 and honor a free rental for their inconvenience. Seconded by Frank. All in favor. Motion carries. This situation prompted a discussion about the renovation state of the building and when we take the building rental temporarily off the market. We will discuss as we have a timeline for renovations. Secretary’s Report: Motion to accept March 2010 Minutes during the next meeting. Treasurers Report: Motion to accept March 2010 Financials during the next meeting. Mayor proposed to modify the budget proposal by taking $1,000 from the heating line item and adding into the maintenance and building line item. Administrator’s Report: No administrators report this month. Maintenance Report: The water coming into the building from the rain is bad. Water is also coming in from the skylight. All this will be addressed as renovation projects begin. Page 1 of 2 Status of Renovations: Hunt tour and brainstorming session to discuss uses for the building. Mayor’s office to send out invitations when we are ready to plan a meeting. We had a lengthy discussion about the board of trustees meeting with the architect to get feasible plans for the building prior to the presentation and brainstorming session. Motion made by Nick to vote on bringing an architect in prior to a brainstorming session. Seconded by Marilyn. All in favor. Motion carries. Events: Carolyn has a full list of rental dates and distributed to the trustees. Fundraising: Nothing this month. Friends of the Hunt: Friends meeting on Monday, April 5th was very well attended.
