The Hunt Building Minutes June 1, 2010 4pm Meeting started at 4:06pm (Final Meeting before summer recess) In attendance: Joy Barrett, Charlie Matthews , Frank Mellen, Marilyn Solomon, Alderman Mary Ann Melizzi- Golja, Carolyn Mortellaro and Rosalie McQuaid Guest Scot Weisman – Scot met with Mayor Lozeau about joining the Hunt Board of Trustees. He wanted to join us before our summer break. Correspondence: Claire indicated she could not make the meeting due to a prior commitment. Motion made by Joy to accept correspondence, seconded by Charlie. All in Favor. Motion carries. Secretary’s Report: Motion to accept May 2010 made by Frank, seconded by Marilyn. All in favor. Motion carries. Treasurers Report: April Summary Friends of the Hunt $875.00 6006 Hunt Bldg. Charitable $368.02 Hunt Building Rental Income $6,150.00 Hunt Building Budget $9,445.80- left $25,853.29 – used (73%) Hunt Memorial Fund $26,853.29 Ella Anderson Trust $4,550.00 May Summary Friends of the Hunt $875.00 6006 Hunt Bldg. Charitable $368.02 Hunt Building Rental Income $6,500.00 Hunt Building Budget $7,058.30- left $28,352.70 – used (80%) Hunt Memorial Fund $26,853.29 Ella Anderson Trust $4,550.00 Motion to accept April - May 2010 Financials made by Frank seconded by Charlie. All in favor. Motion carries. Page 1 of 3 Administrator’s Report: Carolyn typed up an info sheet for the Taste of Downtown Nashua. Motion to accept Administrator’s Report made by Rosalie, seconded by Marilyn. All in Favor. Motion carries. Maintenance Report: One of the outlets in the foyer was replaced. Ivy is creeping back on the brick. Nick C. from Park and Rec will add to his to-do list. Frank mentioned that the vent to the right of the main entrance is leaking in water. Motion to accept Maintenance Report made by Frank, seconded by Rosalie. All in Favor. Motion carries. Status of Renovations: Water Infiltration Remediation Project: no new information. Architect Contract Status: Ethan Anthony has been working with the purchasing department and the mayor to extend the contract that we originally have with them years ago. Should be on the agenda for the finance committee June 16th. Charlie will suggest a meeting on Wednesday, June 23rd at 5pm kickoff with the Architect. Project Schedule: With original project schedule, construction would begin September….but with delays the earliest would mid October. Events: Taste of Downtown Nashua – Wednesday, June 2nd. We are serving from 7-9. Carolyn will do the set up. Joy will come directly after work to help. Volunteers are: Rosalie, Joy, Sara Gual, Charlie and Carolyn…possibly Marilyn. Nashua reads will be here at the Hunt to unveil the book for Nashua Reads! Charlie is sworn to secrecy…we will find out tomorrow. Ben Rudnick - June 6th 2-3pm  The Front Lawn (if it rains we will use the inside of the Hunt) Charlie notified Ed Lecius about policing. He felt that we were all set. Please see Carolyn’s event sheet for additional (and updated) events. Page 2 of 3 Fundraising: No fundraising to report this month. Friends of the Hunt: Friends are meeting Monday, June 7th here at the Hunt at 6:30 – 7:30pm Old Business: New Sign: Frank has contacted Marshall Signs several times. Hunt Tour and Brainstorming session should be scheduled at some date. New Business: Charlie has the name of someone who could consult with us about a sign. Charlie also is thinking about items that we might need to be able to rent space for functions. One of the reference librarians has been scanning old photos of the Hunt Building. We would love to have them printed and framed for the Hunt.
