Hunt Building Board of Trustee Meeting
June 4, 2013
Correspondence:
● Lovely thank you note received from Kitty Provost, mother of the groom on how wonderful their wedding
reception on 4/27/13 was!
●Letter forwarded by Meri Goyette from Arcadia Publishing. Nashua: In Time and Place is being sold at
ACMoore on Amherst Street on a trial basis. We still receive royalties.
●Ethan Anthony emailed letting us know they are in the early stages of planning something for the 150th
anniversary of Ralph Adams Cram’s birthday. I let him know we would like to somehow participate. Event
will be sometime in December 14th. Stay tuned for more details.
Status of Renovations/Maintenance:
●New toilet paper holders in the lower level ladies room and a new paper towel dispenser in the handicapped
restroom were installed.
●I had a conversation with Jay Hunnewell about the lack of security at the rear entrance by the handicapped
ramp. He is looking into pricing to install a window pane, similar to the lower level entrance. As it works now,
you don’t know who/what is at the back door until you open it. Still pending.
●I sent an email to Risk Dept. inquiring about a doorbell system for each office. I also did some research
online. My hope is to have it installed by the handicapped entrance, one buzzer for each office to alert them
they have a client/customer to let in so the doors can remain locked. Still pending.
●Jay made sure all thermostats are now set to cool at 72 and locked. A/C was working and then shut down.
Tech went out 6/3 and had to order a burned out sensor. We are checking to see if it is under warranty.
Administrator’s Report:
●Renaissance Downtowns moved into office #5 on Saturday, June 1st.
● Draft letter to downtown neighbors and potential donors for Festival of Trees is ready to be mailed once we
finalize database.
● Hartmann Learning Center Lease is on Finance Committee agenda for 6/5/13. We anticipate final passage on
6/11/13 and move in day to be 6/12/13.
●Suzanne Delle has signed a Lease to rent office space #3 as Actors Collaborative Theater. First reading at
BOA was 5/28/13; it was referred to Finance Committee and is on the agenda for 6/5/13. We anticipate final
passage 6/11/13 and move in day to be 6/12/13. Their first play is scheduled to be performed at the Hunt on
July 12th.
●The Hunt Memorial Building FY14 budget was on the Budget Review Committee for Thursday, 5/30. Joy
answered questions and will follow up regarding grants received in FY 12 and FY13 and proposed for FY14.
●New account has been established for Restore the Doors Fund and the $3,057.39 from Friends of the Hunt
deposited.
●R-13-094 was approved on February 8, 2013 naming the alleyway between School Street and West Pear Street
“Richard LaRose Way”. An event is in the process of being planned for September 2013 and Mrs. LaRose has
been contacted.
