Motion to accept the January 2014 Secretary’s Report . Made by Jennifer Hinderer second by Cail

Administrator’s Report, Correspondence, Status of Renovations/Maintenance Report and Events Calendar:
The Nashua Area Arts Association would like to break their lease agreement with the Hunt Building
because of lack of use of the open space. Mayor Lozeau and the City of Nashua has agreed to let them break
their lease. They sent the Hunt Board of Trustees a letter that February 15th was their vacating date. They
have not responded to Joy's letter and there has been no communication with them as of this date. The legal
department at the City of Nashua will send them a letter with the proper information for them to vacate the

rental space. Jennifer Hinderer will make revisions to the policies regarding the use of open space at the Hunt
Building.
Questions regarding line items on budget for festival of trees. It will be discussed during the budget
discussion.
Talk regarding maintenance person for the Hunt Building. Shoveling, lawn maintenance. The Hunt
Building will look into hiring someone for maintenance.
Motion to accept and place on file Administrator's Report, Correspondence, Status of
Renovations/Maintenance Report and Events Calendar for January: Made by Rosalie McQuaid second by
Cail Bellavance . All in favor. Motion carries.
Old Business:
The Hunt Building will be adding language in our contract regarding use of outdoor sign. The sign will
be used for Hunt Building Trustee events only.
New Business:
Larry Hersh, President of Jackson Falls presented an agreement to the Hunt Board of Trustees regarding
an Emergency Plan. He presented an agreement to use the Hunt Building for evacuation for emergency and
man made disasters ie: fire, bomb, hurricane, flood. The residents of Jackson Falls would gather at the Hunt
Building to recover for a period of 24 hours. It has been approved by Risk Management from the City of
Nashua. The Hunt Building will set up a special code for the door for entry. Motion to accept use of the Hunt
Building for emergency use and Memorandum of understanding within amendments proposals from Jackson
Falls with approvals from risk management from the City of Nashua. Motion made by Charlie Matthews.
Second by Jennifer Hinderer. All in favor. Motion carries.
Slate of officers vote-Jennifer Hinderer will be chairman to replace Joy Barrett. Slate of Officer Vote:

Motion to accept Slate of Officers vote for 2014 made by Joy Barrett. Second by Cail Bellavance. All in
favor. Motion carries.
The Hunt Board of Trustees would like to thank Joy Barrett for all her hard work and time she has given
the Board. She has been a vital part of the Board for many years and will be greatly missed!
Discussion regarding private rental rates. 50% deposit required. We will discuss rental rates when
budget is done for new year. The City of Nashua will help the board determine rates.
Public Comment:
Harold Soloman had questions regarding rentals. He suggested that we reach out to companies regarding
having their company meetings at the Hunt Building. He would like to see the Hunt Building promoted for this
type of service. We will put something together to send to companies regarding their business meetings.

Nashua Area Artists Lease Termination Letter
Jackson Falls Emergency plan
Jill Hartmann, tenant in office #4, sent an email saying the direction of her business may be changing and she
may be looking to terminate her lease
Status of Renovations/Maintenance:
Jay Hunnewell requested a keyless entry code and elevator room key for Stanley Elevator for monthly elevator
testing…will make things easier logistically.
Administrator’s Report:
Set up Facebook Page for The Hunt Memorial Building; please “like” our page!
FOX NEWS filmed an interview with Senator Kelly Ayotte, which will air in February…I will keep you posted on
the date….they shot exterior photos which will be used in the intro and will also be sending in a $250 donation.
The Humane Society will be using their “Best In Show” win to host a volunteer appreciation event at the Hunt on
April 16th.
Revisit Finance line item question we discussed last month…any thoughts/questions?
Carolyn Mortellaro wrote a beautiful piece “A History of Renovations” for Nashua Life Magazine which gets
mailed out to homes in the community….see attached.
Would like to discuss rental fees. Carolyn has seen a big decline in rentals since the fee has moved up from $250
to $500. I also received 2 inquiries where folks said it was too high.
Would like to have a table at The Nashua Public Library event for March 30th, Local History Fair
Have shown Office #6 to Neighborhood Works of Southern New Hampshire 3 times…they are a non-profit which
focuses on affordable housing…referred to us by Jim Vayo
Have set The Hunt up on a few free wedding venue marketing sites; have already had 2 inquiries.
City Arts Nashua did book a fundraiser Psychic Fair in March…all appropriate paperwork and monies were re-
ceived.
