Hunt Board of Trustees meeting: Wednesday, September 9, 2015

Secretary’s Report: June, 2015 , August, 2015
o Upon a motion by Charlie Matthews, seconded by Brenda Baron the board
voted unanimously to accept the Secretary’s report of the 6/16/2015 and
8/4/2015 meetings
Treasurer’s Report
o No vote was taken at this meeting pending an explanation of where the
second disbursement of the Lydia Reed bequest was deposited. There was
some discussion of revising the format of the summary report.
Administrator’s report :
o Board discussed items in the administrators report :
The board discussed the moisture issues in the building and whether
they would be covered under any warranty terms from the
contractors who worked on the renovation. Amy is working with Jay
and Risk Management to see if this is the case.
The board supported Amy’s decision to increase the pest control
company’s visits so they come monthly and monitor the building for
insects as well as mice
The board instructed Amy to investigate donating the old piano to one
of the schools.
The Board supported Amy’s idea of partnering with GAD for movie
nights and discussed the frequency and themes for movie nights. Amy
and Jen will investigate public performance licenses and whether the
library’s license can be used for events at the Hunt building.
Old Business
o Pearl Marketing will begin working on expanded online advertising and
promotion of the Hunt Building this fall. In January Amy will take over
maintaining our online “presence”.
New Business
o Amy informed the board of the monthly cost of providing wireless access in
the building. She will email the password to all board members.
o Charlie Matthews told the Board that the city Arts Commission needs a
mailing address and suggested that they use the Hunt Building address since
Amy has an office there and works for both organizations. The Board
supported the idea pending the Mayor’s approval.
o New meeting day: the next board meeting was scheduled for Wednesday,
October 14th at 5:00 PM. Amy will poll the rest of the board to see if the
second Wednesday of the month will work from now on.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:20 PM
